Bryn Baldassari (Galisewski)
CEO & Owner
Bryn is a graduate from Chatfield Senior High School and Colorado State University. She majored in human development and family studies and specified in occupational therapy courses. Bryn loves to dance, hang out with friends, and play games of all sorts. She couldn’t stay away from the wonderful community in Littleton and came back to work with this amazing population in the heart of her hometown. -
Chelsea Krupa
Executive Director
Chelsea graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a degree in behavioral science and sociology. Following graduation, she began supporting the IDD community as a direct support professional. Over the last 14 years, she has served this population as SLS Provider, Day Program Manager, Behavioral Services Manager, Employment Services Director, and she started the Residential program at Stepping Stone in 2016. Chelsea now oversees services and operations at Stepping Stone as Executive Director. A Colorado native, she enjoys camping and the outdoors with her husband, daughter, and dog. She loves being part of the Stepping Stone team and looks forward to continuing the growth of innovative service opportunities for the individuals we support. -
Mark Haddock
Finance and Operations Director
Mark is originally from Wyoming, and he loves the Denver, Colorado lifestyle—especially the mountains. Mark and his wife Darlene, an RN, share a passion for caring for others, and his background has spanned from healthcare to homecare, from medical clinics—providing surgical services—to in-home care for seniors and those with disabilities. With an MBA from the University of Denver and a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of Colorado at Denver, he’s also a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE). Mark enjoys being part of teams with a mission of providing exceptional service, and he’s thrilled to serve with the outstanding team at Stepping Stone Support Center. He enjoys playing drums in Denver-area country/classic rock bands, riding his Harley in the mountains, hiking, attending concerts, and rooting for the Broncos.

Jennifer Biggs
Program Director
Jennifer, a Colorado native, has a degree in communication from University of Colorado at Boulder. After a brief career working in sales and marketing, she stumbled upon the wonderful world of helping people with IDD find jobs in the community—and she has never looked back! Over the years, Jennifer has provided both employment and day program supports, managing teams in both areas. She is energized by the important role these services play in helping people to live the lives they want, growing independence and fostering relationships that lead to increased inclusion. Among her career highlights, Jennifer was part of the team that brought Project SEARCH to the Denver Metro area in 2009, where she and the team assisted 80% of the first-year graduates in securing community employment! She is an avid reader and enjoys crochet. She’s also an animal lover with two cats and has fostered cats, helping them prepare for their forever homes.

Jenny Chase
In-Home Services Director
Jenny is a proud mom and wife with over 25 years' experience in the IDD field, serving as advocate, mentor, and partner to ensure individuals and families receive the services, supports, and advocacy they need to thrive. Dedicated to promoting inclusion, independence, and dignity for people with IDD, her love for this work extends beyond her professional life. For more than 30 years, she's volunteered with Special Olympics, supporting athletes at local events and on the international stage at the Special Olympics World Games. The joy, determination, and community found in Special Olympics continue to fuel her passion and guiding values. In her free time, Jenny and her family enjoy traveling and seeing the world through different perspectives—reminding her of the beauty of diversity, connection, and lifelong learning.

Crista Carnes
People Care Director
Crista is originally from New Mexico and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer science. She lived in Colorado for 22 years and now resides in Texas. Crista has worked with individuals with IDD since 2014 and feels extremely grateful for the many ways they’ve enriched her life. A licensed chaplain, public speaker, and published children’s book author, she finds the greatest joy in offering encouragement and hope to others. In her free time, Crista enjoys attending and volunteering for church events, singing, dancing, hiking, and spending time with her incredible family and friends. Crista considers the Stepping Stone family one of her greatest gifts!

Barb Ziegler
In Loving Memory: Honorary Member of Stepping Stone’s Leadership Team
Co-Founder of Stepping Stone with BrynBarb was a foundational force in the creation of Stepping Stone, bringing over 40 years of experience in small business administration to help bring the vision to life. As the parent of one of our participants, Barb was deeply passionate about building meaningful opportunities for adults with IDD. She was proud to witness Stepping Stone grow into a life-changing experience for so many.
Barb held a long-standing dream of creating a residential community that offered independence and connection for individuals with developmental disabilities. In pursuit of that dream, she eventually founded Trailhead Community. Her legacy continues through both Stepping Stone and Trailhead, and her impact lives on in the lives she touched.

Suzanne Ball
Employment Services Director
Suzanne is a native of Colorado and grew up in Lakewood. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Colorado State University and got her master’s in education from Colorado Christian University. She retired from Jefferson County Public Schools in 2016, after 30 years as a teacher and administrator. Suzanne started working for Stepping Stone as a job coach and soon realized she found her second career working with the IDD community. She believes everyone who wants to be employed should have the opportunity for inclusive, meaningful work and loves helping participants find employment in the community. In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys the outdoors, working out, reading, and traveling.
